NLP and Computers.

Often with clients I will use the analogy of our brains being similar to computers.

Our screen saver is how we generally move through the worlds we create on auto pilot just running  with out us paying to much attention to what is happening, while playing music in the background.

When our attention is needed we come of that and look at our.

Desk Top.
We discover what programs are currently running in the background that we can turn on or off as it suites us. By double clicking we can bring one of them up and manipulate it. again all common to us.

What a neuro linguistic programmer does is go behind all this, into the dos, and deeper, to the source code, where we look at magical code, similar to what someone who builds web sites will do, changing the html code for the internet. What you see on a web site is only what you see, not what is really there.

Your hard-drive. Processor and Memory.
Your subconscious control level of minds, and I do mean minds. This is the place that runs everything. just as a computer expert can and does access this area and is familiar with it’s workings, how it functions and what it can do. You can upgrade all these.

I love mac computers, I have two on my desk an i-mac and a mac pro, one of the latest. I also have a pc on my desk. As I write this I have three computers running and switch from one to the other as I desire.

PC analogy.
For many years I used a pc all the time. It crashed often had problems with viruses, I had to install antivirus, washing, spy alert,  all kinds of software to keep it safe and running, and I had to learn a lot in order to use it and keep it running sweet, and every year or so some new piece of stuff came out and I had to upgrade. Most peoples brains. are pc computers.

Mac analogy.
My mac is very easy to use and operate almost instinctual, they are not attacked by viruses I do not need to use spy programs and will last for years. Simple, elegant, user friendly, stable, reliable and easy to upgrade and fix if they go wrong.
